If you need materials that we do not own at Guernsey Memorial Library, we can try to obtain them from another library in the Four County Library System or from other libraries in the United States.

To obtain materials from other libraries in 4CLS, search the library catalog, select the item in which you’re interested, then follow the instructions under Place Hold.  Alternatively, you can visit the library or phone us at 607-334-4034 and we can place the hold for you.

To obtain materials not held in 4CLS libraries, fill out a materials request form and send it to no.ill@4cls.org or bring it to the service desk. To have a better idea of what is owned by other libraries in the U.S., try the WorldCat database. While we do not guarantee that we will be able to obtain everything you request, we will do our best. Generally reference, local history, audiovisual, old and rare materials, and materials less than a year old are difficult to obtain through Interlibrary Loan.
